IEL FACULTY AND FELLOWS

There are 50 full-time staff members at IEL. Among 44 professional personnel, there are 15 senior researchers, 12 associated senior researchers, 13 assistant research fellows; 26 researchers holding a doctorate and 12 holding a master"s degree; four researchers are Ph. D. candidates. The team comprises 14 ethnic groups, including Mongolian, Han, Tibetan, Uygur, Kirgiz, Man, Chosen (Korean), Daur, Ewenki, Yi, Miao, Bai, Zhuang and Dai, and 80% of the scholars have native language-level command of one or more ethnic minority languages. Thanks to the 30-year development of research capacities and strategies, the Institute today has a team commanding expertise in multiple languages, and its members each possess personal competence and professional excellence in the study of Ethnic Literature. 



Adil Zhumaturdu(Adili Jumatuerdi)comes from Kirghiz, born in Akqi county, Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang.
